Artelia is present to the SimHydro 2017 conference at Sophia Antipolis – Nice, 14-16 June 2017
The SimHydro 2017 conference is jointly organized by the Société Hydrotechnique de France (SHF), the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (UNSa), the Association Française de Mécanique (AFM), Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) and the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR).
Artelia is a member of Société Hydrotechnique de France (SHF) and has been contributing extensively to the preparation of the SimHydro conference through its presence in its organisation committee and its scientific committee (the previous edition of this recurrent conference dates back to 2014). This year, the conference will address in particular the topic of identifying and handling uncertainties, taking them into account in the context of the decision-making process, on industrial and social issues related to the models, and the selection of the appropriate models to address combined problems.
Artelia will contribute to running a special session entitled “Physical scale models: their place and complementary nature with mathematical models for optimum modelling of hydraulic structures”. Different models developed in the past ten years will be presented by Artelia, EPFL-LCH, IRSTEA, EDF-LNHE and the CNR.
