WASTE TO
ENERGY

Artelia has expert knowledge of the entire waste treatment process, from sorting to waste-to-energy on the basis of anaerobic digestion or incineration.

OUR SERVICES

Artelia assists with the construction of efficient household waste recovery centres that separate the different categories of waste, making a distinction between materials that can be recycled, organic matter suitable for anaerobic digestion, and so-called residual waste to be incinerated or sent to landfill. The Group also contributes to projects to create refuse-derived fuels (RDF) from certain types of industrial waste such as furnishings and tyres.

Artelia acts as design engineer on projects to build or upgrade incineration plants, ensuring that they comply with the stringent regulations imposed by the European Union (the BREF for Waste Incineration) in terms of energy efficiency, flue-gas treatment and bottom ash management.
