Artelia strengthens its presence in Asia-Pacific region with the integration of SMC Consulting Engineers

On 27 March 2023, the Artelia group proceeded to the acquisition of SMC Consulting Engineers, one of the foremost maritime consultant in South-East Asia, based in Bangkok, Thailand. By integrating SMC Consulting Engineers, Artelia further strengthens its position among the top 10 marine engineering companies on the international scene.
This strategic merger is driven by the implementation of strong synergies, to meet the pressing and growing industry expectations of the Asia-Pacific region. It reinforces the worldwide expertise and resources of the Artelia group in maritime and port engineering. Moreover, with the skills and expertise in the design of complex infrastructure brought by SMC Consulting Engineers, it will contribute to the growing of the activity in Thailand, adding to the strengths and capabilities of the Artelia staff established in Bangkok.
Artelia and SMC Consulting Engineers thus demonstrate their intention to develop the port and maritime activity in the Asia-Pacific region including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia and Australia where Artelia group is already operating with permanent offices and subsidiaries.
