Our work to design and implement a wide variety of projects puts us in direct daily contact with the main material needs of states, authorities and citizens. The energy infrastructure, water resource management systems, buildings, engineering structures, transport networks and urban districts we help to build – to name just a few – all aim to improve the everyday lives of millions of people.
Our corporate purpose, “Designing solutions for a positive life”, reflects this openness to civil society and our intrinsic commitment to meet its expectations to the best of our ability, while preserving the major ecological balances supporting life on our planet.
HELPING TO PROMOTE SCIENTIFIC CAREERS AND INNOVATION
Scientific and technological progress plays a vital role in our business lines and is essential to meeting the various challenges facing humanity today. This is why we are taking a numerous initiatives within the Group to support and boost both our internal capabilities and our collaborative R&D and innovation activities.
As an active contribution to disseminating science and technology, we have forged partnerships with a number of promotional bodies, graduate schools of engineering and universities in the areas of training and research. Our current efforts are focusing on creating research chairs dedicated to key development issues relating to the green transition and the pursuit of net zero.
SUPPORTING THE COMMON THROUGH THE ARTELIA FOUNDATION
Keen to make an even greater contribution to civil society and act in different ways to support the common good, we created the Artelia Foundation in 2006, a philanthropic organisation with an original working method based mainly on skills-based philanthropy. This enables Group staff members to work alongside non-profit organisations on a variety of projects on a voluntary basis, while offering complementary types of support (financial aid, one-off events, sports challenges, mentoring of young people, etc.).
The Artelia Foundation has supported more than 200 projects initiated by 80 different organisations since it was created. More than 300 employees have participated in assignments of different types in 28 countries. Our aim is to allocate more resources to our Foundation and step up the scale of its actions.
